Description: Optical fibers are housed in loose tubes made of high-modulus plastic and filled with tube-filling compounds. Loose tubes are stranded around the central strength member. The cable core is wrapped with corrugated steel tape. This part integrated with a steel wire messenger is sheathed with polyethylene (PE) in a Figure-8 shape.
