Amid the resplendent March, a time of rejuvenation, the 6th Furukawa Cup Tree-Planting Campaign, themed “Greening for Youthful Spirits: Furukawa's Tree-Planting in Qinling Mount., Building an Ecological Shelter” took place in Xianyang City, Shaanxi Province. Over 350 individuals, volunteers and children from 26 enterprises and communities across Xi'an, Xianyang, and Baoji cities, were assembled at Yonghong Village, Yanxia Town, Liquan County, Shaanxi Province. Their objective was to conduct a one-of-a-kind tree-planting event, thereby imparting the significance of ecological conservation to the public via tangible deeds to green the Qinling Mountains and safeguard the ecosystem.
On the day of the event, the participants brimmed with enthusiasm. They promptly seized shovels and saplings and plunged into the tree-planting endeavor. Guided by professionals, each person methodically dug holes, refilled the soil and watered the saplings, treating every step with earnestness and precision. Interactive segments were also set for the activity, allowing the participants to gain a deeper understanding of the ecological preservation of the Qinling Mountains.
For six consecutive years, Furukawa has been staging tree-planting activities at the foot of the Qinling Mountains. This is far more than tree-planting; it is an implementation of ecological education. The aspiration is that through such initiatives, a greater number of people will recognize the significance of environmental and ecological protection. Consequently, they can contribute to constructing a beautiful China by conserving water and electricity resources, and curbing pollution emissions in their day-to-day lives.
